Context
Challenge
The meuDNA app was created based on two needs: connecting people with their ancestry anywhere and anytime; and facilitate care against COVID-19 in pandemic years, making self-collection tests available at partner pharmacies.
Position the app for people as a safe information and testing center against COVID-19 in a pandemic time. In addition to punctuating the importance of our genetic tests, placing not only immediate care, but also self-knowledge and prevention.
Solution
The app allows people with or without symptoms of COVID-19 to be tested for myDNA COVID in a practical and safe way , without depending on others for the collection, in addition to showing ways to prevent and care against the disease regardless of the variant.
Making genetic testing available: People who seek their ancestry, the application also provides the history of ancestors, their cultures, places and customs; and for people looking to know their genetic predisposition, the app also shows their results and what to do with that information.
Structure
Based on the documentary research, where the business references, benchmark and organization of activities were analyzed, the service visualization map was made, where we could understand the stages and teams involved in the planning. In addition to creating opportunities for improvement in our products and services and refining our deliveries.

Therefore, the feature definition, the construction of the user task and from these materials, the user experience flow in the application was made. With this, we scored not only your access to the results of meuDNA COVID, meuDNA Origins and meuDNA Saúde, but also the activation of the saliva collection kit sent to the end user.
After defining the flow, wireframes were made in medium fidelity for usability tests and functionality validation, building a navigable prototype, putting to the test the flow that we had defined as ideal.

Visual
The visual definitions were based on the Design System already developed by our Design team together with the visual exploration of mobile components already tested from our usability test.
​
We also added illustration assets to make reporting, collection and sample submissions easier to understand.
The creation of components was based on: consistency, ease and reproducibility. Thus, we managed to maintain not only visual compatibility, ease of understanding, but also its perpetuation within the product.
